David S. Collingridge said: Why do I have to reserve all temple ordinances for individuals? I think people should be able to reserve specific ordinances. If I want to do baptisms and confirmation and let someone else in my extended family do the initiatory work, I have to unreserve ordinances after I am finished doing the work I want to do.

We all share an active interest in using the resources of this site and as users, we have various levels of knowledge and experience and do our best to help each other with concerns, issues, and/or questions.

It is simply the way the system works at the present time. In my opinion, it is the easiest way to handle reservations via the person's page.

Note that Ordinances Ready will reserve individual ordinances for a period of 90 days, so use it if you want to do only baptisms and confirmations. Those in your temple list but not shared will be picked first for the ordinance(s) selected, but only if the prerequisite ordinances have been previously completed. See https://www.familysearch.org/help/sal... for the full order in how names are selected.
