Can I see how two different people are related to each other, not just my relationship?

Donald Drennan said: Quite often, I wonder how two people are related, especially if the share the same last name. Is this possible? I seem to remember other software that could do this. It would be very helpful!

My mother was born in Troy, Alabama, my father in Charleston, MO.
I have noticed surprisingly, that I find people with my mother's surname in MO. and vise versa. I would like to know if they are related.
