Family Trees for Non-relatives

Sandra Cook Armstrong said: I was researching an old friend for my 94 year old mother and noticed that her friend did not have a family tree started. Can I create a tree for someone who is not related?

    Juli said: It's all one communal tree (or collection of twigs and bushes and other arborial metaphors), and yes, you can add unconnected people. It's at the bottom of the Recents menu on any Family Tree page. But you should probably start with the Find page and check if the friend's parents or other deceased relatives already have profiles.
