Bonnie Kay Clark said: Please give one more color to the temple ordinances Legend. This color would be for those ordinances that have been requested, but have also already been shared with the temple. Having the same color (green) for both ordinances that need to be requested, those that have already been requested and shared with the temple, takes a lot of extra time for those of us doing the work of making sure all of our extended relatives have had their ordinances performed. It really is inconvenient to have to check every name that shows green on the ordinances, only to find that it has already been requested and then shared with the temple.

We are no longer in a position where names submitted to the temple is more important than to have the ordinances performed. Therefore, while not changing the meaning we are changing the emphasis of the green temple. We need to think of it as "This ordinance is available for temple work to be performed." It does not mean "This ordinance is ready to be requested/reserved or submitted/shared with the temple."
We were told that consideration was being given to two shades of green -- one to indicate that one or more ordinances were unreserved and the other to indicate that all ordinances were reserved and shared.

I use what I consider to be a better solution -- one of the three fully-certified family tree management programs (Ancestral Quest, Legacy, and Roots Magic). I use Ancestral Quest because it is most like the old PAF program (same author) and it has features that I like.

There are features that let me know what is reserved and what isn't for those relatives that I have in my local database and are linked with the same persons in FamilySearch FamilyTree.
