Paul said: It's already there. Select "View Tree" when on an individual's page. Obviously, the display will depend on yours and other users' inputs to the branch in question. If you are not referring to this, please explain the function you are requesting in a little more detail.

Paul said: Please see my comments against your other post. I can see many generations, which I can "pan through", using a large monitor connected to a PC. However, perhaps this view is restricted when using a mobile or other hand-held devices.

    Paul said: As discussed, above:

This is what I can see using my (fairly) large monitor: a branch covering ten generations.

Is this the subject you are talking about?

By the way, is there a way to count how many people I have in my tree?

Jeff Wiseman said: If you have a large monitor, you might find it fun to use the "Virtual Pedigree" tool that BYU developed. It lets you slide forward and backwards up; and down through the entire tree as seen from your FS account. You can find it at:

    https://virtual-pedigree.fhtl.byu.edu/

Also, third part certified tools such as Ancestral Quest and Roots Magic have charting capabilities that are far superior to FS. With AQ, I can generate a 4 ft by 6 ft chart showing all ancestors and their families with siblings. Because these third party tools often have such great charting capabilities, FS has chosen, in many cases, to stick with the basics since other free tools already exist to handle charting solutions
