If you want to make a correction, try this:

Jordi Kloosterboer said: I don't think you can make a correction using the website (like changing a hamlet to parish instead)--you can only add new places to be reviewed. I think it is better to email them the situation at PlaceFeedback@familysearch.org.0

jsmith528 said: Every time? ... face-plant. I think that every single one of the place names I've tried to use is either duplicated (sometimes triplicated), misidentified (hamlet does-not-equal parish), spelled curiously, etc. etc. etc.
But thank you, Jordi! I have just started to enter my years of Swedish research into FS Family Tree (since Ancestry seems to have dealt the death blow to WorldConnect), so I am still getting used to it.
(I thought that my "suggestion" would go to FS tech support, not to this forum ...)0 -

When you write the Place Standards team or post your requests to the Communities Places board here:
https://community.familysearch.org/s/...
go ahead and tell them either the specific place names you need in the database or the larger region such as all the farms in a specific parish. Maybe they will be able to get someone to work in the specific area you would like to see added.
If you have never played around in the the places database itself, you should. It can quickly give you an overview of how the places are entered, what place names have been added, where the big gaps are, and just what a huge project this is.
It is located at:

You mentioned Orsa as a hamlet. Either that has been fixed in the past day or you read something wrong. Here are all the current entries for Orsa:
The only hamlet is in Denver. Orsa is also entered with both old and new parish and municipality names. Under Orsa the municipality in Kopparberg county are 21 different localities:
I have no idea how many there should be, but that is a pretty respectable number. A quick check in a clerical survey with an index of all the major place names in Orse would show which places, if any, are missing.
These same place names are also all entered with the county name as of 1997 of Dalarna.0 -

Thanks, everyone, and Gordon, I will happily explore that database. I'm a librarian, so I know what a huge project authority control can be!0 -
Gordon Collett said: In the Clerical Survey for 1769 to 1773 there are 39 major place names in Orsa. So there are a fair number that need to be added still.
(I just got a little curious about the status of the database.)0
