Tom Huber said: Consider Jim Greene's advice:
We are no longer in a position where names submitted to the temple is more important than to have the ordinances performed. Therefore, while not changing the meaning we are changing the emphasis of the green temple. We need to think of it as "This ordinance is available for temple work to be performed." It does not mean "This ordinance is ready to be requested/reserved or submitted/shared with the temple." (This clarified statement was made by Jim Greene on June 17th.)
For a more complete explanation about who made the decision and why, see Jim Greene's two major posts which are in the https://getsatisfaction.com/familysea... discussion from June 12th, 2020, and the https://getsatisfaction.com/familysea... discussion from the weekend of June 13th-14th, 2020. The modified statement about the emphasis being changed appeared in the https://getsatisfaction.com/familysea... discussion on June 17th.0 -
Helen Elizabeth Lundholm said: I totally agree. It would be very helpful to me if you would differentiate between the temple icon showing that ordinances are yet to be submitted and ordinances that have been submitted and are available to request...maybe a darker green...
Consideration should be given to those of us who are daily trying to "clean up" familysearch by finding those who have been missed.0 -

I'm the FHC Director for our Ward and have concerns with the NEW Temple ICON COLORS. I do this work on a regular basis, almost daily and find my time is being wasted by the FALSE GREEN TEMPLE ICON COLORS.
In the past, I could easily see that names were SHARED to the Temples by the orange color Icon. Can you please give the SHARED names a different color or shade of GREEN? It is very frustrating when I go to the GREEN Icon and find the names are already shared to the Temple. I DO LIKE that we can print from others lists, so the Work can be done faster, but really would LOVE a NEW Color Icon for SHARED names.
These FALSE GREEN Temples are not only TIME CONSUMING, to click all the way through and then find them already shared, BUT will also be CONFUSING to the NEW members who I am teaching.
I've always told them to look for "Green Temples" to share to the Temple and now when explaining it to new familysearch users they are more frustrated, as am I.
Is there any updates coming out that can FIX this PROBLEM?? Wish the "SHARED BUT ALSO AVAILABLE" to print can be a DIFFERENT COLOR then the LIGHT GREEN names that are WAITING and READY TO TAKE TO THE TEMPLE.
THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO!!!! I do LOVE THIS WORK and the progress you have made over the years!! This is my 1 SUGGESTION moving forward to think about updating....
I don't want to confuse the members I'm teaching:)

Tom Huber said: You are aware of Jeff's response to your other thread. It would be helpful if you responded to that and then let those reading this thread know what he said.
The big thing is that the word false (please do not use all caps as it indicates shouting) is inappropriate. Jeff responded and has essentially repeated what Jim Green (FS representative) has told us that1. From your screenshot [in the other thread], you can see that under the Ordinances tab, the state of the ordinances and their statuses are shown. The coloring of the ordinance icons is all about the current condition of those ordinances and nothing more. Green means that you can "Request" that ordinance, print the card, and take it to the temple. That's what it has always meant, it is what FS always intended for it to mean, and nothing has changed in this meaning. (emphasis added)
