Printing problems

I've been trying to reach the engineers, but apparently I keep getting the support team. Hopefully this makes it to the engineers.
I am having trouble printing more than one name at a time. I'm trying to print already printed names that have updated information. I search for them in the search bar, as I did with the previous system. I select the name and then delete the search to find the next name. But when I delete the search, the selected name is no longer selected. So then I tried using the alphabetizing filter to find the names I needed, but not only would selected names unselect when I went to the next the page, it is very tedious to search that way.
The feedback I would suggest would be to not have the selected name unselect when the search bar is cleared. I look for names through the search bar because I have so many names that that is the easiest way to find someone. So I’d like to find them through the search bar, select them, clear the search without losing them again, and search for another name. The old system let me do it that way, and it worked very well.
I’d also like to be able to scroll through all my names at once without having to use pages. Or at least to not have names unselect when I go to the next page. But scrolling through all at once would be more helpful for my purposes. Maybe pages work better for most people, but I like having it all in front of me...
Thank you so much for your work and your help.

We all share an active interest in using the resources of this site and as users, we have various levels of knowledge and experience and do our best to help each other with concerns, issues, and/or questions.
Every discussion thread in this forum is read by a FamilySearch representative. They may or may not respond as they have time.
We have been told that the engineers and development teams are not part of the support system. On occasions, a manager or lead engineer may respond for a team that is involved with the situation.
To be honest, I have no idea what you are talking about -- I'm a user just like you, but help where I can.
You talk about doing a search and then printing one name. What are you searching? What are you printing? Are you working with historical records? Or profiles in the massive tree?
You talk about records that have updated information. That suggests you are talking about a profile in the massive tree.
Some screen images might help clarify the situation.
Other users on this forum may be able to discern what it is that you would like to see, possibly as a feature, if that feature does not exist now.0 -

To further clarity your concern:
Here on Page 1 of my wife's temple reservations I check off the top two to print:
I advance to Page 2:
I go back to Page 1:
to see that my previous selections are gone.0 -
Gordon Collett said: I played around a bit more and find that any action, using the search or text filtering box in the upper right corner or any of the filter buttons in the side panel, that moved any checked names off the current page removes the check box from those not currently visible names.
The check box should not be cleared until the intended action, whether printing or sharing or unreserving is performed or the check box is manually cleared by the user.0 -
Tom Huber said: This particular problem is an old one, one that has plagued the system for years. It really does need to be resolved and when it comes down to it, sorting and filtering options are not the answer.0

Jeff Hawkins said: Hi Rebekah,
Your request did make it to engineering through the support team. It's logged in our system. We'll see if we can add this capability back into the product.
