Kathleen Renee Snow said: Details: Several recent changes to the user interface of Family Tree are a definite loss of usability:

There is almost no contrast in color between ordinances that are completed and those that are shared.

There is no difference in color between ordinances that are reserved and those that are shared.

In some situations, the mother's name appears above the father's. This is not consistently the case.

All of these things make using Family Tree more confusing, particularly for inexperienced users, the elderly, and people with vision difficulties.

Tom Huber said: You have actually listed a number of concerns in this thread. Like sening a case to support, if you have more than one concern or issue, each needs to be posted to its own thread.

    1. Gray indicates the ordinance(s) are completed. That is definitely not green unless the user is green-color blind where the green appears to the user as gray.

The temple page of a profile has words in addition to icon colors. While ordinances can be obtained in other displays, the profile's temple page will work for those with the green colorblind condition.

    2. Jim Greene issued the following statement
We are no longer in a position where names submitted to the temple is more important than to have the ordinances performed. Therefore, while not changing the meaning we are changing the emphasis of the green temple. We need to think of it as "This ordinance is available for temple work to be performed." It does not mean "This ordinance is ready to be requested/reserved or submitted/shared with the temple."
    3. This appears to be a bug. A case has been opened and it has been discussed in the https://getsatisfaction.com/familysea... discussion thread.
