Firstly, "Welcome" to this "FamilySearch" ( "GetStaisfaction" ) 'Feedback' Forum.

Secondly, "Official 'FamilySearch' Representatives", do monitor; and, sometimes, participate in, this Forum.

Thirdly, I am just another User/Patron, just like yourself (and, happen to be a Member of the Church).

Many Users/Patrons who regularly participate in this Forum who have a great deal of knowledge and experience with "FamilySearch", like to assist/help other Users/Patrons like yourself.

Finally, you are correct we now have the ability to create "****" Couple Relationships in "Family Tree" of "FamilySearch".

Please explain what you mean by: "Restrictions on parents needs to be updated."

I was curious; so, I just did some "Testing" in the "Beta" ("Test") Environment of "Family Tree" of "FamilySearch".

I created a "****" Couple Relationship, between Two (x2) Males.

When I checked the Couple Relationship, the individuals were, both, recorded as, a Male; and, a Husband.

Plus, I added Two (x2) Children to that Couple Relationship, one Male; and, one, Female.

I DID NOT find that there were ANY "Restrictions".

But, ... that was the "Beta" ("Test") Environment.

Have you, both, tried; and, noticed, any difference in the "Production" ("Live") Environment?

So, as I have asked, please explain what you mean by: "Restrictions on parents needs to be updated."

    'Thank You' in advance.

    FYI

In the "Beta" ("Test") Environment, in the "Couple Relationship", the two "****" individuals appear as the same "Sex".

And, the term, "Husband"; and/or "Wife", DOES NOT even appear.

Of course, I do not know what appears in the "Production" ("Live") Environment".

If 'Jeffery' is referring to the "Reference" material (eg. Helps; Guides; "Knowledege Articles", etc.); then, I DO NOT consider such to be a "Restriction", just that any such up-dating of the "Reference" material needs time to "Catch-Up" with "Changes".

What I DID find CONCERNING in the "Beta" ("Test") Environment, when I created a "****" Couple Relationship, is that there was NO "Warning" 'Message' appear when I was in the process of creating a "****" Couple Relationship - such a "Warning" 'Message' could easily be 'Dismissed", if you were intionally creating such a relationship.
