Is the man a client of yours, for which you charge him a fee? Whether he is a client for which you charge a fee or not, I am going to refer to him as a client.
The new system is designed for members who are working with their own ancestral lines. I have recently looked through the system and see no problems with the way the system is set up.
The counts are there.
It makes a lot of sense to provide just two colors: Request and In Progress; and two colors for Not Available and Completed.
To get a count by the date you make a reservation under your credentials, open the Temple page.
Reset the Filters.
Select My Reservations.
Look at the date reserved -- it should start with the most recent date you reserved any ordinance(s) and descend from there.
You will need to manually count the number of reservations you made on the dates listed. If you are reserving and sharing them with the temple, then you will have to count and combine the numbers by date from both lists.
I do not know how things work if you are using the helper feature and the client is a member of the Church.
I see several problems with what you are doing.
The first is if you are using your own credentials and not as a helper to reserved and share the names with the temple. You are not authorized to do that, unless you have permission from Church Leadership (General Authorities -- you can probably start with your Stake President and make arrangements to speak to your area General Authority Seventy).
If you are using his credentials, again, you are not authorized to do that. You will need to use the Helper function and I don't know what you can do with respect to reserving and sharing the ordinances under the client's credentials.
If the client is not a member of the Church, then there may be a bigger issue with respect to temple ordinances, including baptism for the dead. There are several religions who do not recognize our authority to perform these ordinances. This is especially true with Judaism. There are several Christian denominations who are opposed to even providing their records to members for research. Not all units of those denominations observe those instructions, but there are cases where they do.
Regardless, if the client is not a member of the Church, you will need to obtain permission from Church Leadership.0
