twitter.comBecause it is difficult to attend many genealogy conferences in person, I often read what other's report during the event on Twitter. In one case the conference notes convinced me to attend the same conference the following year.It is very informative and cost free to read notes from people who do attend. Many people post notes and photos on Twitter. The trick seems to be figuring out what hash tag most conference attendees will be using. A few experiments will usually get you there since they can be fairly easy to guess. The Federation of Genealogical Societies 2017 conference started this morning, 30 August. I went online to Twitter and searched for FGS2017 and found lots of great information. https://twitter.com/search?q=#FGS2017&src=tyah One nice benefit to reading conference notes on Twitter is that the information is distilled to the most concise details possible. This conference runs from 30 August to 2 September this year. Fortunately you can review the conference tweets even after the conference has ended.
