Quinton Anthony said: How about putting other records online - even if all you can do is browse. For example - Alabama and Oklahoma death certificates - not only indexes.

Paul Starkey said: There many browse only record collections published.

    Oklahoma Probate Records, 1887-2008
Alabama, Sumter County Circuit Court Files, 1840-1950

Above are a couple of examples in states you mentioned.

    Examples of others:

Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Seamen's Proofs of Citizenship, 1791-1861
United States Revolutionary War Pension Payment Ledgers, 1818-1872
    Montana, Sanders County Records, 1866-2010

FamilySearch captures or gathers many more images each year than we can index. So these images are published as browse only. We are excited with the growth of indexing, so I don't want to come across in a negative way toward that effort.
