I spent a full week at the library in SLC to research and learn. My primary work was done in the International floor. I want to thank those volunteers who helped me. It was August 10-18, this year. What a wonderful experience. I had spent over 30 years looking for information on my gr gr grandfather Heinrich Martin who came to Illinois from Rorshain, Ziegenhain, Kurhessen. I don't know if they would remember me (Susan from Wisconsin) but ty to Karen who I started the journey with. She was amazing and introduced me to several volunteers who also assisted me in finding Heinrich in numerous records. Since then I have found his family in archion.org and am thrilled. Karen and Fitz or was it Fritz the lovely lady from Germany who was so helpful and her instincts about the family were so right! Well I can't recall the two other ladies names but I am so grateful and applaud them all... bless them. I will return in January and can't wait!!!
