Additional information off of this birth document
This entry (entry 7) is the birth record for Friedrich Wilhelm Ferdinand Hannemann, son of Ch F Hannemann and Maria Hardt. What is the word preceding the father's name at the beginning? I am interested to know which others are mentioned to try to make some connections on other records. The first three especially: 1- Joh. Fr. Hannemann from Schoenewalde, 2- Friedrich Schroder from ______, 3- _____ _____ from Kannenberg. Thank you.

The two words preceding the father's name are "Des Bauers"--meaning, "Of the farmer." That is, the father of the child is a farmer. The second witness is Friedrich Schröder from Vos[s]berg, and the third witness is Friedrich Düring from Kannenberg.

The first baptismal witness is from: Schönwalde (no "e" between the "n" and "w").

You're welcome, Christina. Charlotte Noelle Champenois did the bulk of the work on this record. I was asking because of the place I was reading as "Vosberg". I couldn't find a "Vosberg" in the area but I did find a Vossberg, as Charlotte has indicated in her response.
