Linking unlinked residence info

Good day, I'm wondering if there is a tool or technique for linking, for example, the residence infomation for a document with a person when they are already linked to that document.

I'm not explaining that well, so here's an example: let's say Fred is linked to the 1910 US Census, but his residence information was not linked, i.e. the 1910 census is on the source list, but the fact that he was living in Idaho in 1910 is not.

Is there a way of re-generating that residence info/link, other than by detaching and re-attaching the person from that source document?

Thanks!

    .

Short Answer: 'Yes', easy; as, "Other Information", under "Residence".

    .

▬ Go to the "Other Information" Section ... [ section under "Vitals" ]

    ▬ Select "Add Information"

▬ A "Pop-Up (aka: 'Modal') Window will appear.

    ▬ You will see "Events"

▬ Go down to "+ Residence", select that

▬ Another "Pop-Up (aka: 'Modal') Window will appear

▬ This time, that will be 'Headed' = "Add Residence"

    ▬ Add

    ▬ ▬ Description/Title ... ( eg. 1910, Census of the United States of America )

    ▬ ▬ Date ... ( eg. 1910 )

▬ ▬ Place ... ( eg. Locality; County, State, United States of America )

▬ ▬ Reason Statement ... ( if you want to add any additional details )

    ▬ Then, "Save"

    .

    Done.

    .

    I hope this helps.

Thanks, Brett! I was hoping for something easier :( Detaching and re-attaching would seem to be easier and less error-prone, as in most cases, FamilySearch has already done date/location work. Thanks again for the feedback! Aaron
