I just tried this - and it let me at least initiate the process - indicatung that no special persmission was required.

HOWEVER - as always - if a spouse of such person has been born after 1910 - the system will still ask for special permission needed for both of them.

Make sure that the birthdate of the person you are interested in requesting ordinances for is correctly standardized.

This idea of waiting for 110 years came because of legal challenges, not personal beliefs or church beliefs. It came because of people acting on misunderstandings. The legal challenges are the hurdle that caused this.

Sorry for any stress this may have caused you.

yes - but 1910 - is 111 years away - outside of the range.

If the birthdate is correctly standardized and you are still finding the inability to reserve the ordinances. Clear out the birthdate field and save. Then re-enter the birthdate and save. Refresh the screen. You should then be able to reserve the ordinances. If this doesn't work, you will need to contact FamilySearch Support.

I clearly stated the person was born in 1910. You think of anyone living in 2021! Your answer is not reasonable and not helpful at all!

This past year, I've had birthdates from 1910 where I've had to clear out the field - save and re-enter and save in order to get the ordinances to be able to request. This is why I suggested this option because I know it made it work for me.

    .

    FYI

    .

Individuals/Persons who were born in 1910 Years (and, 1 Day) ago, are available to request "Ordinances".

    .

But, I am not certain if, it is on their 110 Birthday; or, on their 111 Birthday ...

[ ie. The next year after 110 years ]

    .

    But ...

    That said ...

    Whichever ...

    .

    There are 'caveats' ...

    .

▬ They will not be available until, the day after their Birthday; and,

▬ The "System", has refreshed/synchronised, and, recognises that.

[ Give the "System" a day or two ... ]

    .

    As an aside

    .

Here are some "Knowledge Article" in 'FamilySearch'

    .

Family Tree will not let me reserve ordinances for my ancestor because the husband or wife has no dates

I can't reserve ordinances because the spouse was born less than 110 years ago

How long do I have to wait before deceased spouses can be sealed to each other?

LDS temple ordinances are done for deceased persons

if the person could be still living - we would not want to do the temple work for them until we are certain they are deceased.

Im not sure what legal issues you allude to

but for temple work - the 110 year rule is to ensure they really are deceased.

it most definitely is a religious based issue.
