How to add a sibling to a MOTHER in a tree (not an additional child as sibling)

I want to add a sibling to a tree or a person. But I can't seem to get that option. The help directs as to how to add an additional child (sibling to other children). I'm trying to add a sibling to a mother (with an unknown mother and father). Specifically, I want to add my grandmother as a sibling to a tree that her sister is shown in.

Steve, Please give me the PID numbers of your mother and her sister so I can look at the record. If you don't know the parents you can add a parent, using unknown or Mr. and their last name. You can then add your grandmother and her sister as children. I have this same circumstance in my tree and that was how I handled it. Thanks for using FamilySearch.

    Her sister is GSYQ-ZYM

My Grandmother (who I just created on here) is GHHR-75S

Thanks for the quick response. You did great! In looking at your ancestors, you might want to consider joining the Russia group. Group: Russian Empire Genealogy Research (familysearch.org)

Done - I sent you a note but an answer here would be great. I edited a few of your adds and particularly, I want to clarify how to designate the last name of a female spouse. When I created them I thought the notation said to use the maiden name. Is that correct?

Yes that is correct, if you know the maiden name use it. If you don't know the maiden name put just the first name OR put Mrs. in title, first name, married name as last name. Once you find the maiden name I would delete the title Mrs. and change the last name. On ones you don't know at all except for the last name I'd put in Mr. in the title and last name. You don't need an entry in the first name. You can do the same for the persons wife (Mrs.) or leave it blank. You can add multiple children to it either way. Sometimes I will put in an approximate birth date and location. This will help in further research in narrowing down dates and places. You can also put names in the alternate name field and indicate if it's a married name or nickname. This also helps in further research.

    Have a great day, Carol
