Family Search Find for an individual showing inappropriate dates and states

When I enter the date range it does not filter properly. It happens with both birth and death dates.....313,000 choices that go into the mid 1900's when my max range is 1891.

Allegheny County, Pennsylvania shows results from many other states.

What am I doing incorrectly?

you may be doing nothing wrong at all

if the search does not find anything within the range - it will still show what it find as "partial matches"

but it will - in the cases I have seen - place FULL matches or BEST matches at the top of the list.

if you see that there are exact matches that are not at the top of the list - then I would report a bug - but the fact that it still shows items outside the range of your query limit - is by design - with the though the thiought that all good matches would be on top - but partial matches (based on other search patremeters - would still show) - that is by design - often to show people what they may be missing if they hadnt put in such stringent conditions.

BUT - full matches (if any) - should always show at the top of the list.
