Legacy NFS Source
People have linked items in my Ancestors source file/box called "Legacy NFS Source ..."
What are these, where did they get them? They don't link to anything.

These are from older versions of Familysearch. This article from the Help Centre may help you:

.
'Yes', as already been proffered by that "Knowledge Article" ...
.
Those "Legacy 'New.FamilySearch' Sources" have NOT been linked/added by OTHER Users/Patrons.
.
Those "Legacy 'New.FamilySeearch' Sources" WERE, in fact, "Transferred" from the previous version of the "Tree" Part of 'FamilySearch' being (ie. known as) "New.FamilySearch" by the "System" (ie. 'FamilySearch') in 2014 to the current version "Tree" Part of 'FamilySearch' being (ie. known as) "Family Tree".
.
Some of those "Legacy 'New.FamilySeearch' Sources" DO NOT mean much or have much relevance - nothing noted ...
.
But ...
That said ...
.
I prefer to "Leave" them there, as is, in situ ...
I prefer NOT to "Delete"/"Remove" them ...
.
Those "Legacy 'New.FamilySeearch' Sources" were originally attached/related to the individual/person to whom they are NOW associated by ANOTHER User/Patrons (and, sometimes YOURSELF) ...
.
Those "Legacy 'New.FamilySeearch' Sources" DO NOT hurt or compromise the "System"...
.
As such, I tend to "Leave" them in place, often "Moving" them to, either, the TOP; or, the BOTTOM, of the list of "Sources" for the particular individual/person.
.
Just my thoughts.

I was looking at one earlier today. Apart from a name and a reference number it had no further detail. The person's name was quite common, so the source could apply to any of thousands of individuals who shared it. On this occasion I left it there, but I could have easily decided to detach it, as it seemed to serve no useful purpose to anyone - well, unless they could make sense of the obscure reference number!
