Further to what has already been proffered ...
Short Answer: 'NO'; and, 'YES'.
Please ley me explain ...
And, very importantly ...
We do not have our OWN "Tree" in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.
We ONLY have "Branches" (ie. Ancestral" lines), that are interconnected, in this SINGLE "One" World "Tree", for all of us, that is "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.
"Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' is NOT like 'On-Line' "Websites" (eg. "Ancestry_com"; or "MyHeritage_com"; or, the like); and/or, 'standalone' personal (computer) programmes (eg, the OLD, now no longer supported, "PAF"; or, "Ancestral Quest"; or, the like).
We DO NOT have "Private"/"Personal" 'Trees' in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' like other 'On-Line' "Websites"; and/or, 'standalone' personal (computer) programmes.
We do not even, own; or, manage; and, are NOT even responsible for, the "Deceased" individuals/persons in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.
"Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' is built on a "Open Edit" Platform - hence, why any registered User/Patron can "Edit" (ie. Add, Delete; and/or, Change) ANY "Deceased" individual/person in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.
An individual/person can have just about any number of, BOTH,
(1) "Parent-Child" Relationships (ie. as a Child); or,
(2) "Couple" Relationships (ie. as a Spouse/Husband/Partner; or, Parent)
as they require.
In fact, the "Limits" in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' are:
▬ Parents: 100
▬ Spouses: 200
▬ Children: 400
So in essence, an individual/person can have DIFFERENT relationships depending on the situation/circumstances:
Currently, "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' provides x5 relationship types:
Currently, "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' enables x4, Couple "Events"; or, relationship types:
▬ "Blank" (ie. "Not Recorded") = being NO "Event"
▬ Common Law Marriage
▬ Lived Together
Here are some additional "Knowledge Articles" in 'FamilySearch':
How do I specify biological, step, adopted, and foster relationships in Family Tree?
How do I add or change marriage information in Family Tree?
How do I put spouses in order by marriage date in Family Tree?
I hope this helps.
Any person in the FSFT can be assigned multiple parents (they could be given 15 parents if needed). Not all of those parents will be related to each other though. The one quirk is that while looking at the pedigree chart, it can only show you one set of parents at a time. But you can select which parents you want to show at any given time.
