Is is possible to transfer my tree from Ancestry.com to Family Search?

Please DO NOT "Transfer" your PERSONAL Database [ie. "Pedigree" ("Tree")] from "Ancestry_com" to "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch, as such.

Most new/inexperienced User/Patrons of "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' DO NOT understand the Basic MODEL and PREMISE of "Family Tree" of 'FamilySeach'
.
Let me explain ...
.
We do not have our OWN "Tree" in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.
.
We ONLY have "Branches" (ie. Ancestral" lines), that are interconnected, in this SINGLE "One" World "Tree", for all of us, that is "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.
.
"Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' is NOT like 'On-Line' "Websites" (eg. "Ancestry_com"; or "MyHeritage_com"; or, the like); and/or, 'standalone' personal (computer) programmes (eg, the OLD, now no longer supported, "PAF"; or, "Ancestral Quest"; or, the like).
.
We DO NOT have "Private"/"Personal" 'Trees' in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' like other 'On-Line' "Websites"; and/or, 'standalone' personal (computer) programmes.
.
We do not even, own; or, manage; and, are NOT even responsible for, the "Deceased" individuals/persons in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.
.
"Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' is built on a "Open Edit" Platform - hence, why any registered User/Patron can "Edit" (ie. Add, Delete; and/or, Change) ANY "Deceased" individual/person in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.

Now ...
That said ...
.
Enter (ie. 'Create) the individuals/persons in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' one at a time - on a one by one basis.
.
Many of the individuals/persons most probably ALREADY exist in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.
.
Only one or two generations of the "Living" individuals/persons may be required to be entered/input in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'; before, some of the "Deceased" individuals/persons from Ancestral lines ALREADY existing in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch', are discovered.
.
Use the "Find" facility/function/feature to Search "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch', you may be surprised to find some (if not, many) of them already there.
.
Of course, there is always the "Genealogies" Part of 'FamilySearch', where Users/Patrons can "Upload", an as is, 'standalone' and STATIC, Pedigree/Tree, that can be used/viewed for "Research Purposes"; but, they CANNOT be Edited/Amended, they can ONLY be "Deleted"/"Removed" and an updated version uploaded, in its place.

i have entered other names of my family in the search but no hits. i was just looking for a faster way to enter my ascendant's.

Too many Users/Patrons want the ... fast and easy way ...
.
That is why so many well established and documented (eg. "Sourced") individuals/persons in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' have been RUINED by the uploads from OTHER 'On-Line' "Websites" (eg. "Ancestry_com"; or "MyHeritage_com"; or, the like); and/or, 'standalone' personal (computer) programmes (eg, the OLD, now no longer supported, "PAF"; or, "Ancestral Quest"; or, the like).
.
The "Hours" (sometimes "Days") of work, by other Users/Patrons, that can be needed to CORRECT the DAMAGE done by the uploads from OTHER 'On-Line' "Websites"; and/or, 'standalone' personal (computer) programmes, can be disheartening.

Been there, Done that ...

Many of the "Third Party" Applications that are "Certified" to work with "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' (the likes "Ancestry_com") have INTERFACES with "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' to enable the transfer of individuals/persons and data.
.
I do not use such; but, that might be worth (you) exploring, with regard to "Ancestry_com".

Genealogy / Family History is NOT a "Sprint" ...
Genealogy / Family History is a "Marathon" ...

Pace yourself ...
Take time ...
.
You may get lucky; and, find that what is in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' is even better than what you have - maybe not; but, you can be lucky.
