Just click on the name of the person next to the Person Identification Code (PID) that you referred to.

Since nobody else can see that record, it is likely a living person stored within the Private Space associated with your account.

I have checked that ID and 'No Results Found' comes up. Does that person show living status?

Is there a name with the ID?

chances are this is a living individual.

How is the Person Identification Code (PIC) established?

Where should they be recorded in my Family Tree Maker files? Is it labeled "Person ID" in the source codes?

Does it have any value in finding other people/ancestors?

    Welcome to the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum.

    I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...

In answer to your FIRST 'Question' ...

The 'FamilySearch Person Identifier' (PID), in "Family Tree", of 'FamilySearch', is established when when an individual/person is "Created".

The 'FamilySearch Person Identifier' (PID) is SET by the "System", when an individual/person is "Created".

The 'FamilySearch Person Identifier' (PID), is a UNIQUE, Seven (x7) Digit reference; being, xxxx-xxx; where, the Characters can be either, Numeric; and/or, Alphabetic.

When individuals/persons are "Merged"/"Combined", in 'Family Tree", of 'FamilySearch', the resulting 'FamilySearch Person Identifier' (PID) is, that of the "Surviving" (Record) individual/person.

Here is a "Knowledge Article" in 'FamilySearch':

What are ID numbers used for in Family Tree?

    https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/what-are-id-numbers-used-for-in-family-tree

    https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/what-are-id-numbers-used-for-in-family-tree

    Where it states:

    Quote

    -----------------

An ID number (identification number) is a string of letters and numbers that uniquely identifies a record in Family Tree. ID numbers consist of 4 characters, a hyphen, and 3 more characters. For example: K8LL-TGB. Family Tree ID numbers never contain these letters: A, E, I, O.

    An ID number:

    • Shows on all tree views, on person cards, and on the Person page
    • Usually appears near the person's name
    • Is automatically assigned when a new record is created
    • Does not provide information about the person or the source of the information
    • Does not change for a given record

In Family Tree, you can use the ID number to:

    • Find records of deceased people.
    • Find records of living people, if you added them. The records of living people are only searchable to the person who added them.
    • Find the record of a deleted person and restore it if necessary.
    • Link a deceased individual into a family tree.
    • Merge records by ID number if you know the ID number of a duplicate. Both records must show as deceased.

    Notes

    • If you see the message that an ID number is invalid, it is no longer assigned to a record.
    • When you search by ID number, you can enter the number in lowercase letters, with or without the hyphen.
    • When you add a living person in your private spaces area, a unique ID is created. When another patron adds the same living person in his or her private spaces area, a different ID number is created.
    • You cannot merge the records of a living person in your private spaces with the same living person in another patron's private spaces. You can merge records of a living person only if both records are in your private spaces.

    ------------------

    So ...

    That Said ...

Your THIRD 'Question': Does it have any value in finding other people/ancestors?

Short Answer: 'Yes', most definitely so.

The 'FamilySearch Person Identifier' (PID) IS used by ALL, "Third Party" Applications, that are "Certified", to work with "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.

I could not find "Family Tree Maker", in the "Solutions Gallery", of 'FamilySearch'.

    https://partners.familysearch.org/solutionsgallery/s/

    Question:

Is "Family Tree Maker" one of the "Third Party" Applications, that is "Certified", to work with "Family Tree", of 'FamilySearch'?

    I am sorry ...

I do not use, any of the "Third Party" Applications, that are "Certified", to work with "Family Tree", of 'FamilySearch'; and, so, I can not help/assist in regard to your SECOND 'Question'; as, to:

Where should they be recorded in my Family Tree Maker files? Is it labeled "Person ID" in the source codes?

Hopefully, another User/Patron who is familiar and experienced with "Family Tree Maker" may be able to provide some help/assistance (eg. a suggestion).

I hope that this may help/assist, somewhat.

    Brett
