I have noticed that some of the sources are linked to ancestery.com (I currently have a two week free trial). Will I be able to view those links after my trial or will I be locked out from those?

    .

IF, you are talking about, either,

    - "Search Records" ('right-hand-side') & the "Ancestry_com" 'Icon' access; &/or

    - "Sources" that are attached to an individual/person in their "Sources" 'Tab'

.. [ ie. "Sources" another User/Patron has attached from "Ancestry_com"]

    THEN ...

    .

Short Answer: 'NO', not from Home, you will NOT be able to see them.

    .

Although, you WOULD be able to, access; and/or, see, them at a "Family History Centre" of the Church (and, some "Affiliate" Libraries).

    .

IF, one does not have some form of "Ancesty_com" Account; THEN, you do not get to see any "Sources" from "Ancestry_com", in "Family Tree", of 'FamilySearch', from Home.

That is how I thought it would be. Thank you.

I assume you will be adding any images you wish to keep sight of onto your PC / other hardware. Many users add these images to the Memories sections. Some organisations have said openly they are happy about this but, as long as there is no commercial use involved, I do not believe there are any copyright issues.

There are many instances where we can suddenly lose sight of even FamilySearch sources, so I would always save them elsewhere. In "normal times" I take a memory stick along whenever I visit a Family History Centre of FS Affiliate library, so I can download anything I won't be able to view from my Family Tree Sources when I get back home.
