Is it possible to find marriage, birth and immigration records from Kovno, Lithuania?
My great grandmother, Sarah D. Cohen (nee Burling) born approx June of 1854 immigrated from Kovno, Lithuania to Chicago in approximately 1870. Her father's name was Jacob Burling, her mother Jennie Schner. She had a younger brother, Samuel Burling born approximately 1866. Since I can't find the immigration records in the U.S., I was hoping to find marriage and birth records for this family in Lithuania. The family is Jewish. I got nowhere on FamilySearch.org or ancestry.com. Can anyone help? Thank you.

I'm sure you've moved beyond your question by now, but if not, please know that a listing for "Kovno" may indicate that city of origin (= Kaunas), but more likely indicates the broader governate, or Russian designation for what is today a large portion of Lithuania. So your ancestors may be from Kovno (Kaunas) or any of the hundreds of smaller towns and villages in western Lithuania.

@LegacyUser, in addition to the excellent suggestions you've already received, you can also find information for Kovna, Russia in the FamilySearch Catalog. It appears that the catalog has adopted the Yiddish version of the name.
These catalog entries also includes records for Kaunas, Lithuania. They appears to contain some marriage records (Metrical books : Kovna (province), 1822-1940) and immigration records. Below are the search results for the Catalog. Select any item to see the associated Catalog page.
Hopefully, these items, in the catalog, will also be of some help to you.
