The owner of another tree has told me they have unlocked their tree so i may have a look at ancestors of mine in their tree, how do i log on to their tree. John Davidson.

    Are you sure they are talking about FamilySearch?

    there is no such thing as "unlocking"

    using the PID's you should be able to see there deceased relatives

    but you will NOT be able to see living members of the tree

    I have a feeling what they were referring to is something called "enabling relationship viewing" which allows users to see how they are related to each other.

    but truth is - you have access independent of this to any deceased person in FS FT - using the instructions on the link previously sent.

    @JOHN DAVIDSON_4​ It could be a private tree in Ancestry.com. Were you notified about it in an email with a link? Or some other way?
