I am reviewing New York, Hudson MSQ7-1FG. For example, on the left side is the date(1942) and the next 3 lines down shows no date and the next line picks up a new date. Are the 3 blank lines also 1942? In the middle of the page a Grantee is listed and

sheet the grantee is listed and the next 3 lines are blank do you use the last name listed for the 3 blank spaced? In reviewing some are using the next name that comes up as the grantee and some are using the name above the blank spaces.

Regarding the question about dates. yes you use the date, in this case the year, that was last entered until a new one is encountered.

With typed records like this one it is sometimes more difficult to determine how to handle the cases where there is not a name in the grantor column because the curly bracket that was frequently used in handwritten records is not used in the type written ones. The next best thing to do to determine how they should be grouped is to look at the surname of the grantees, when the surnames are the same it generally indicates that they go together. So in this image with the three lines:

    Dudley Plass Everett D Plass 604 49

    1942 Willis R Place

    Reuben W Place Eric V Andrews 605 92

Eric V Andrews, year 1942, book 605, page 92 are used with both Willis R Place and Reuben W Place.

This is the pattern to follow throughout the rest of the page. When there is no Grantor use the first one that follows the line without one, not the one from the previous line.
