Where to find notarial records for the town of Charlois
A few days ago I checked Zuid Holland records and found an index to Notarial records in Zuid Holland. The record can be viewed online called: Index to the notarial and minor court archives (notarieel en rechterlyk archief) of various communities of the province of South-Holland, Netherlands. The name Hank Slok was mentioned as someone who put the record together. He was a professional at the library many years ago.
I found a reference to my ancestor a Bastiaan Koedoot who died in 1707 in Charlois. The records is a notarial record. The inventory number is Nr 43 in Charlois dated 8-7-1707.
It appears that the library does not have any of the court records of Charlois. I looked online and did find something about Charlois in the Archive of Rotterdam. I can't seem to find the actual record however. I'm still trying but having a hard time figuring it out.
So my question is since Hank put the record together do you have in your backroom somewhere any notes about this particular record? I would love to be able to find it and see what it has to say.
If you don't know of anything what would you suggest for finding a court record such as this. I'm not familiar enough with the online archives to be able to figure out how to access them. I'm working on it but haven't made much progress.
Thanks, Ira

Ira,
as far as I know, we do not have a file with Hank's material, unless it is already in the wiki or catalog. I don't know where any such file would be, unless one consultant has it in his or her files. But I don't think so. The name does not even sound familiar to me, so Hank must have worked here a long time ago.

Yes he worked there a long time ago. Thanks anyway - I'll keep trying to figure out how to access that record in Charlois. I'm hopeful it all can be found online in one of the archives. I don't understand those online archives very much when it comes to the court records. Thanks, Ira0
