Hello, I have a question: how do I look up a death record of someone who died at sea, either while w
The name of the ship is RMS Etruria, leavingn Liverpool, England on June 24, 1899, I don't know when they arrived, the ship listed New York on a pamphlet my Great Grandma had. I am also javing a challenge in finding, birth, marriage and death records of my Great Grandfather. Thank you, Mona

Have you seen a digitized copy of the ship's manifest? The manifest, and especially the arrival documents may show information on the death of the person you are interested in. Using the arrival documents I was able to discover the death at sea of an ancestor of mine that had sailed to America with his parents.
It sounds like your Great Grandfather is in the FamilySearch Family Tree, but you don't have any supporting records for him. You have not provided his name or any information that you may have about him which would allow someone to try and help you.. If he is in the Tree, please provide his ID number. Additionally, depending where he lived, when you are able to provide more specific information about him, I would recommend that you join a Group in Community that corresponds with where he lived and post your question there about him.0
If the person died at sea departing from Liverpool and landing in New York; should the death be recorded in New York?0
@LegacyUser, it appears that Etruria arrived in New York on 1 July 1899. The table for the following shows Cunard line, S.S. Etruria sailings.
Ellis Island was open by 1899, so it is likely the the ship's manifest should be found there; however, I haven't found it yet.
One additional, potential source might be the UK National Archives, if you know the nationality of your ancestor.
Sorry that I have not be able to provide anything better, but will continue to see what I can find.0
