naming a stillborn infant

I know the birth/death date and place and parents' names (I have a death certificate) and the infant has a memorial at findagrave.com. What do I name the child:

daughter Shimer

female Shimer

baby girl Shimer

infant Shimer (female)

stillborn daughter Shimer

stillborn female Shimer or

something else?

I dont think I have ever seen any consistently applied policy

I have seen most of the formats you list.

Leave the first name blank. Only add the last name. It says to avoid "Words that are not really names, such as “not named,” “unnamed,” “Mister,” “Wife,” "twin," or "Son." " https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/how-to-enter-names-in-family-tree

@Larry Olson_1 Also for a stillborn child go to the 'Other Information' of their person page and click on 'Add Information' and select 'Stillborn' from the list and enter the information for the stillbirth and then click Save.

Here is the link from the help center for 'How do I add stillborn or miscarried infants in Family Tree?'.

Thank you, AB. This was very helpful! I did not realize the Help Center was the best place to go first to answer my questions.

Thanks for taking the time to respond, Dennis. I assumed, but I did not know there was a policy, until I saw AB and Patricia's answers. I did not realize the Help Center was the best place to go first to answer my questions.

actually my response was from the mistaken assumption you were talking about how to add it in Findagrave and not FamilySearch. I Knew that there were policies in FS on the matter,

You're welcome. The Help Center and Community are a great team! I'm glad we have both!
