death of Maurice Clyde Lee born July 20, 1897 in Coalville Utah
- I am looking for a death date for Maurice Clyde Lee born July 20 1897 in Coalville, Summit, Utah to Walter Hawkins Lee and Margaret Ann Simister. He left his wife and children on July 1923 and never returned. One year later his sister got a letter from him that said he was going to work on the pipe line in China, and that's all we know. We do not know where he went for sure.

I see that you have never really gotten an answer here. Let's see if we can investigate this and give you some direction in looking for Maurice Clyde Lee.
You say he sent a letter to his sister about a year after he left his family. Do you have access to that letter? Where was it sent from? What date was it dated or postmarked?
I've been searching on pipelines in China and all that I can find for that time period is that in the 1920s everyone started welding pipes together instead of using threaded pipes. Was he by any chance a welder or machinist by trade?
