Exact Search Option

Just noticed that there is now a "global" Exact Search option, and that the other Exact boxes have been removed from the first name, surname, locations, etc. That is ridiculous. Sometimes you know the exact name, but not the dates and locations. Please tell me that it's just a temporary change.

Thank you.

Peggie, I am not sure that I understand where you are searching. Is this a search in the records at FamilySearch.org?

In FamilySearch Family Tree - there is an option "Match all exactly" - Im not sure if that is new or not - - but there are still flags on the individual fields that can be selected for exact matches for just those fields

    Hi Dennis,

Thanks for your quick answer and help. The screen I was in wasn't showing that, and I could swear (not literally) that I clicked "Search" + "Records". I wasn't researching a Tree, just the General Records search function.

I just signed in and the boxes are now there on the Search, Records. Oh my goodness!
