    This is a feature that really needs to be added. If you add a new source it tags correctly, but you can't currently manually tag anything (either to the marriage in general or the marriage facts)

    that capability already exist under adding sources to a marriage event. Keep in mind that a marriage source applies to more than one individual, so that is why the capability doesn't exit under individual sources.

    It's important to understand that a Marriage event exists only on a couple relationship -- it is not an event on an individual profile. Because of this, a Marriage event can only be tagged to a source that is on a couple relationship -- it can't be tagged to a source that is on the individual.

    So you need to edit the couple relationship by clicking the edit button (pencil icon) that is below the couple listed in the Spouses and Children panel in the Family Members section of a person's profile page. There you will see the Marriage event(s) as well as the Sources connected to the couple relationship. If there are sources listed there, you can tag them to the marriage event by clicking on the marriage event and clicking TAG SOURCES.

    If there are no sources connected to the couple relationship, then you can get them there in a couple of ways. If you have sources related to the marriage that are in your Source Box, you can add them to the couple relationship by clicking ADD SOURCE (on the couple relationship) and then choose "Attach from Source Box." Then once you have attached the source(s) to the couple relationship, you can tag them to the Marriage event as I explained above.

    If you don't have such sources in your Source Box, but they are on the individual's Sources list, you can go to each of those sources and copy them to your Source Box. Then add them to the couple relationship and then tag them to the Marriage event.

    When the source linker is adding a marriage source that includes a Marriage event, then if you add the Marriage event in the source linker, it will add the source to the couple relationship and tag the Marriage event to that source. But if you don't add the Marriage event (perhaps because it appears to already be connected to the couple relationship, and you don't want to create a duplicate event), then the source won't be added to the couple relationship. This is admittedly rather confusing, but being aware of this detail will help you get the source added automatically to the couple relationship with the Marriage event properly tagged, and avoid having to do the rigmarole I described above.

    @RRNielson

    I have tried this process, and once you get the hang of it, it becomes easy. Tagging a source to marriages can become routine and is worth the effort.

    A lot of the problem here is with the FS user interface's handling of relationships, effectively as less important than profiles.

    I Suggested an Idea on this nearly 2 years ago:

    While that may have been rejected for any number of reasons (no feedback received), it would be good to know if FS are working in any way to improve the UI profile vs relationship imbalance - @Alan E. Brown do you know?

    In my experience, the source linker does not tag couple relationship events with the couple relationship sources, regardless of whether the linker created the event or not. I always have to go to the couple relationship to do the tagging (assuming that the linker has created a relationship source).
