Newbie here. I wonder who makes the Family Trees, as I would like to point out an error inone tree and also to ask about sources of information for some of the connections. All in the same tree. I do not see a source. Thanks.

    Welcome to FamilySearch!

"The FamilySearch Family Tree is a worldwide, public tree that is free to use. On it, all people can work together to research their genealogy and discover what is known about their ancestors.", per:
    https://www.familysearch.org/en/blog/family-group-trees-release

This article provides more details and links on how to get started:

There is also a chat feature if you want to communicate with other contributors.

    Note #1:
The following contributors will not respond to chats:
"TreeBuilding Project", "US Census Project", "CommunityCensusProject", plus variations of those names are automated computer scripts created by Brigham Young University's Record Linking Lab.
Any username that starts with "treehelper_" are human volunteers with BYU.

    Note #2:
The current FS software launched in 2012. No usernames were migrated to the new software and instead placeholder names such as "Unknown . . ." or "FamilySearch" were used instead. Those will also not respond to chats.
