What are the limits on folders (# of images and/or total size (mbytes?)
I selected all my gallery images (~1700) and tried to copy them all to one folder. Failed with no error message. So I tried copying a couple hundred at a time. Worked. Checked the folder and it contains all my gallery images. Shared the folder with a link that I emailed to another person. That person sees only about 2/3 of the images I see in the folder.
This seems like a bug in the software. Either I should have run into some limit on the size of a folder or the link should have been a link to all the images I copied into the folder.

@John L. Howes Thanks for the question.
There's a couple things happening.
Unlike generic storage sites, every single image uploaded into FamilySearch Memories is screened by automated tools and human moderators to ensure compliance with FamilySearch Upload Guidelines and Policies.
When you upload or batch-copy files into an album, they are visible to you immediately in your account. However, they are placed in a background screening queue before becoming available to the public interface.
The recipient's view is the public view. They will only see the images that have already cleared the processing and screening pipeline. The remaining are likely still sitting in the indexing or moderation queue.
FamilySearch has rigid privacy rules to protect living individuals. I'm not sure if any of the pictures you were sharing were private or not or living, but this is a thought also. If any of those 1,700 images are tagged to a living person in the family tree, or if you marked those specific memory files as "Private" in your gallery settings, they are strictly hidden from external link viewers.
There isn't a hard cap on images, but with that many there was probably a lag for one.
When you broke it down into smaller batches, the site successfully saved them to your personal view, but the public database index for that specific shared link often cuts off or fails to render a heavy folder sequentially for an external guest browser.
I hope this helps. Please feel free to reply.

Thanks for the quick reply. I did not realize I had to check back to see answers. I wrongly assumed I would get an email notification of an answer.
I am sure some of my images are either private or linked to living people. Probably about 1/3 of them based on what I see.

@John L. Howes You can change your notification preferences by clicking on the face icon on the upper right corner, then choosing "Account & Privacy Settings"

The living-person tag and the photo's visibility are separate settings. FamilySearch says a tag linked to a living person in Family Tree is shown only to people who can see that person. That does not, by itself, make the photo private; the memory has its own visibility setting.

For an image missing from the recipient's view, check Information → Visibility on the memory page. A Private memory can be shared with selected family groups without making it public. That is a useful distinction to check, but it does not establish an album-size limit or explain every missing image.
