19th-century families in Bicol/Manila

Marianne4041

I’m researching 19th-century families in Bicol/Manila and have hit two brick walls after exhausting FamilySearch Full Text.

1. Jorge Fernández de León, husband of Simona Escalona/Escalante — trying to identify his parents.
2. Don Fausto Bombasé, documented Gobernadorcillo of Tabaco in the 1870s — trying to identify his parents/origin.

I have original parish and notarial records and can share links/images. Are there additional FamilySearch collections or unindexed record groups you would recommend?

@Marianne4041 this page https://www.familysearch.org/en/wiki/Philippines_Genealogy would be a good start, if you have not already seen it.

I am not connected with FamilySearch

Perhaps you could try and book an online genealogical consultation. I have read these are via Zoom or Google Meet. I have not gone through all the questions on the booking form, so do not know if your queries would be eligible.
