Help needed accessing a restricted image – Mainz Catholic marriage, 9 September 1772 – Goor/Schwartz

Hello,

I am researching the marriage of Casimirus Goor and Anna Maria Schwartz, which took place in Mainz (Mayence), Germany, on 9 September 1772.

FamilySearch provides the following indexed record:

  • Collection: Deutschland, Rheinland-Pfalz, Diözese Mainz, Katholische Kirchenbücher, 1540–1968
  • Names: Casimirus Goor and Anna Maria Schwartz
  • Marriage date: 9 September 1772
  • FamilySearch record: DTTB-73ZM
  • Digital folder number: 007991356_001_M9X6-YL7
  • Image number: 237

The record is indexed and the image is clearly identified, but when I try to view it, FamilySearch displays the following restriction:

“Image available – Choose one of the following options to view these images:
• View the site from a FamilySearch Center.
• Access the site from a FamilySearch-affiliated library.”

I am currently unable to access a FamilySearch Center or affiliated library.

Could anyone with access please check image 237 and tell me what the original marriage record says?

I am particularly interested in:

  • the exact parish/church in Mainz;
  • the ages or places of origin of Casimirus Goor and Anna Maria Schwartz;
  • their parents' names;
  • whether either of them was a widower/widow;
  • the names and origins of the witnesses;
  • and any other information contained in the marriage entry.

I would also be very grateful for a transcription or photograph/screenshot of the entry, if FamilySearch's rules permit this.

Thank you very much for your help!

    @André GUILLOU
    Good afternoon.
    Unfortunately, Community guidelines do not allow us to share images from limited-access records. We can offer a transcription, if the image is legible.
    Putting your request on my list for my next visit to my FSC or AL - probably within the next couple of days.

    For future reference, the URL would be helpful. I found the record from your description.

    Good afternoon,

    Thank you very much for your help and for adding my request to your list. I really appreciate you taking the time to look at this record during your next visit to a FamilySearch Center or affiliated library.

    A transcription would be absolutely fine, provided the image is legible. I am particularly interested in any information about the parish, the parents and places of origin of Casimirus Goor and Anna Maria Schwartz, as well as their occupations and the names of the witnesses.

    Here is the direct URL to the FamilySearch record, as you suggested:

    @André GUILLOU
    I've been to my FSC today, and I viewed the marriage of Casimirus Goor and Anna Maria Schwarz.

    The register is minimalist: no occupations, parents, or witnesses are listed.

    Casimirus is listed as "ex Aspisheim" while Anna Maria is "ex Deute."

    Edit:
    I missed the 4-hour window to edit my earlier comment.

    I retract the location for Anna Maria.
