Ssoftware to graph trees with collapsing branches?

The default charts in FamilySearch assume trees with 2^n direct ancestors. They don't handle ancestors that show up on multiple branches.

As an example, I've circle the same couple.

Groups of the same color are the same people.

What software would you recommend for better drawing?

These good looking charts are made by hand, not generated from a gedcom.
