Error in creating a historical source from an index
I'll report this on the form as well but still wondering if anyone here has run into this before and knows what is going on.
I came to this source today which has an obvious error in either the birth or christening information: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:68QW-4F63?lang=en however when I go to the index to make a correction, the information in the source is not there:
I've seen many times the porting error that turns 22 Dec (with no year) into December 0022 (with no day). But this is the first time I've seen it pull the starting date of the entire collection and use it to fill in the year. Did they try to turn 22 Dec into 22 Dec 1797-1958 and it didn't work?
The Source Linker complains about the date difference when attaching the source but fortunately that 1797 year does not show up in the tagging and the Data Quality Score routine does not see it.

It's a pity that the DQS only cross-checks records against profiles - it would be good if there were checks running across Record Collections to pick up clear internal inconsistencies.
