Community notification miscounts "new comments", misdirects "new discussions"

Yesterday, I subscribed to all four notification categories in the Source-Centric Person Page group. Today, I received two notifications from that group:

Now, when I click either of those notifications, I get taken to the same discussion. I have two questions about the community platform's behaviour, one related to each of the notifications.

• The discussion in question has only two posts, the original post and one comment by another contributor. Where did the number 13 in the notification come from?
• Why did the second notification take me to one specific discussion? I think the the appropriate target would be the group's home page, e.g. https://community.familysearch.org/en/group/discussions/351-source-centric-person-page. This lists the discussions with the most recently updated at the top.

Yes, I've been reporting this problem for some weeks. I regularly receive notifications from threads that have been long closed.

@Áine.ní.Donnghaile What you are experiencing is different than what @JulianBrown38 is reporting.

What has been happening to me for a long time is if:
— I have no unread dots from my notification bell list, either by clicking on individual notifications or by clicking "Mark All Read", or
— I have clicked on all the posts for a particular Group,
then my notification list becomes random links for my Groups notifications:

In the above example, when I click on "3 new discussions in Atlantic States Research", I am not taken to the group's main page. Instead, I am taken to a random post in that group.

Same thing happens with the if I click on "14 new discussions in Source-Centric Person Page" and the random post I am taken to was posted by the user who's profile image is seen on my list.

In all cases, the random post is usually not the most recent post.

Plus, it is inconsistent: Why is the post "Unable to add a source…" viewable instead of being lumped together with the Source-Centric notification?
