New Feature in Memories: Slideshow!
A new/returned feature is available in Memories. We hope you will try it and share your feedback!
Many of you will recall that Memories had a Slideshow option a few years back. Now it has returned, improved and ready for our Community to try!
You will find the “Slideshow” in two places.
In the Memories Gallery:
-If you are in your Memories Gallery, you will find it in any of your Albums.
-Try building an Album. Then choose your preferred “Sort” option. Or create a “Custom” order by clicking “Edit” and dragging your Memories into your preferred order. Don’t forget to click “Save” after editing!
-Click on “Slideshow,” and watch your images in your preferred sort option.
-You can share this “Slideshow”—it will provide a link to the Album, from which the Slideshow can be played. However, the link does not provide the “Sort” options. It will ALWAYS play in the Custom order. (So, if necessary, modify the custom order first by clicking “Edit” and dragging Memories into the correct order.)
From a Person’s Page in FamilySearch:
-While on a Person’s Page, click to view their Memories.
-Find the “Slideshow” button next to the “Add Memories” button.
-Don’t forget, you can select a preferred “Sort” or “Filter” first, then your Slideshow will play in that preferred sort.
-You can share this “Slideshow”—but it will only provide a link that shows the Memories page from a Person’s Page.
A few cautions:
-Stories, Documents (pdf files), and Audio alone do not show in the “Slideshow.”
-Images that have audio attached, WILL play.
