Uploading a GEDcom file from Ancestry for a user tree excluding the notes
I have my personal trees on Ancestry. I have just tried to upload one to FamilySearch using a GEDcom created from Ancestry.
On the download page on Ancestry it said that Notes would not be included in the GEDcom.
However, when my tree appeared on FamilySearch I noticed that the notes were indeed included and appeared under Collaboration on an individual's page.
I have deleted my tree as I did not want my personal research notes to be visible on FamilySearch. (They are often very long and include hypotheses and personal conversations with other researchers.)
Is there a way of making a GEDcom from Ancestry which will definitely exclude notes?
It definitely said on Ancestry that notes were not included but they were.
Thank you for any advice.

There is a new process for uploading a GEDCOM. It's still a work-in-progress.
You'll find good info in the User Trees Feedback group.

@Lavender1925 If Ancestry said the notes were not included, but they actually were, you will need to talk with Ancestry about that. You could work around this by importing your Gedcom into a third-party program such as Legacy Family Tree or RootsMagic and export to Gedcom from that program where you would be able to control what is included in that Gedcom.

@AnneLoForteWillson thank you for your comment, much appreciated. I will contact Ancestry and also look into importing my Gedcom into a third-party programme. That's very hepful.
