Page Not Found In Source Linker
When I click on "Review" on the tasks page to open the source linker, at least half the time I get a "Page not found" error. I have never gotten this before. When I check the ancestor they exist. I'm assuming something is wrong with the source, but I can't open the source to check it, due to the page not found error.

Clicking on "Review" goes to this page:
Like I say, this is on at least half the hints I try to look at today.

Here's the marriage, using full-text search:

Thanks. This verifies that both the source and individual exist.
Why does the link not work?0 -
@Hiram Bertoch I suggest that you submit a Records Reporting form which you can find here.
There are three hints on Hannah's profile; two relate to her marriage and the other one to her death. They all come from the same collection. If you click SHOW ALL in the Research Help section, you will be able to see some basic information on the sources. If you then click on the REVIEW & ATTACH buttons, the source linker will open and display an error message somewhat similar to the one that you have seen. However, these messages include the record ID for the source. The IDs are not of much use to you, but you might want to include them if you report this issue. They are /ark:/61903/1:1:QG1Y-35KX, /ark:/61903/1:1:QG1T-QYFF and /ark:/61903/1:1:QG1Y-B713.

For more detail for the Record Issue report, here's the direct URL for the black and white version:
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QG1T-QYFX?lang=en
It's an indexed collection, and can also be found using image browse, on DGS 7731324, Image 12.
The link returns the "This is unexpected" error message, but it may be useful to include in the report.
The color image is on DGS 112129083, Image 229.

Thanks guys. I did submit the report per your suggestion. So far haven't heard anything back. It is very frustrating, as it seems to be upwards of 80% of review links I click on are broken at this point. I have tried hundreds, and they almost all don't work.

I wonder if others might be willing to try on their hints and see if they get the same result.
Go to:
https://www.familysearch.org/en/home/tasksClick on and open several of the hints.
For each one, click on the "Review" button, and see if you are able to access them.

I'm able to open some, but most are failing and returning the above error message.0 -
@Hiram Bertoch In my experience, you should receive an email acknowledgement of receipt of the Records Issue Form; usually within 24-48 hrs. However the fix you're looking for could take much longer - for now there may still be a "bug" in the system — I'm not on FS staff so this is only my guess. Best wishes,

@Hiram Bertoch I've had a look in the records search, selecting that collection "Connecticut, Marriages, 1640-1939." Database with images. FamilySearch. http://FamilySearch.org : 3 December 2024. Connecticut State Library, Hartford. While searching for random returns results, they all display the error you have reported when I select them.
There are 15 digital folders in the collection. Of those, folders 007619770, 007616209, 007619771, 007616165, 007616209, 007619770, 007619770 and 007619771 all return messages:

I've had so many research hints that are 404 links lately, it's quite frustrating. They don't even stay ignored for long!
The 404 page could stand to have some more helpful links added to it, for situations like this.1 -
Thank you Paul. I appreciate this insight. I would sure hate to ignore them. I can't imagine waiting forever to get your work done, and then have a glitch cause you to miss your chance to have your name added to the database and taken to the temple.
If it is going to be a long term issue, I may have no choice, but that sure would be a shame.0 -
@Hiram Bertoch Have you found any "work-arounds" to share? I'm following this discussion daily to learn from community Thank you for all your insights, Mary

I haven't unfortunately. I'm thinking I may drive into their office on Monday and ask in person. Hints are completely unusable at this point and it seems that we have multiple people confirming the issue.

I got no email acknowledgement for one I submitted concerning Find a Grave cemetery placenames, although a mod confirmed here in Community that it had definitely arrived and was in the system. It may depend on the sort of Records issue involved, perhaps.

By chance I have a 'Connecticut, Marriages, 1640-1939' hint for my great-grandfather's marriage; this (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QLM4-62DN) is showing the same issue as @Hiram Bertoch is encountering. I will investigate further.
EDIT: Every Record I try to display from that collection is giving this same error. Feels like this is the root of the problem (so nothing to do with Record Hints or with the Source Linker). @Hiram Bertoch is this collection-wide issue part of what you reported? If not, I am happy to fill in a new Records Issues form, though maybe this is not the only collection affected.
