I am writing to request your help in locating two birth/baptism records in Mauritius to help advance my family history research.
According to an 1881 marriage record from St. Julien Church (Flacq, Mauritius) between Polydor Michel and Marie Ursule:
Jules MICHEL is listed as the groom's father (occupation: carpenter, residing in Flacq).
Rose JOSEPH is listed as the bride's mother (noted as deceased at the time of the wedding in 1881).
I am trying to find:
The original birth or baptism record for Jules MICHEL. I found a database transcript from the CGMR showing his birth on November 13, 1833, in TD Port-Louis (District: TD Port-Louis, Province: Mauritius, Reference/Cote: Index Etat Civil Serie KM 1810-1860, Libre: KM69 All districts 1831-1835 L-Z – Reg 2 F° 154). I would like to know how to view the digital image of this original record on FamilySearch.
The birth or baptism record for Rose JOSEPH (likely born in Mauritius before 1865, given her daughter's marriage in 1881).
Could you please let me know if these specific registers (Port-Louis 1833 and the historical records for Flacq / St. Julien) are digitized and accessible online, or if there are specific unindexed film collections I should look through?

The registers for St Julien in Flacq, Mauritius are available, unrestricted, meaning that you can view them from home. Unfortunately, they do not cover the years of your query

The civil registration records for Flacq are on microfiche and not yet available online. FamilySearch is in the process of digitizing microfiche; all microfilm has already been digitized.
