Merge One Living Family Member With Two Different ID#s
@LauraDeVaney said:
Why is it my husband & I have to create separate IDs for each of our children/grandchildren? Why can we not merge their IDs together so both of us can work on our child's/grandchild's information together?
MOD Note: I’ve moved this discussion from Improved Merge Experience to the Family Tree section so it stays with similar topics and is easier for the community to find in the future. The original post has been deleted.

Because the profiles of living people follow rather strict privacy requirements.
You may want to create a Family Group in which you can share living profiles. There you and your husband will each have another profile with different IDs than the one either of have in your personal account space and can create profiles for all of your children and grandchildren (with their permission) to work on together.
