It mistakenly states Aurelia Galante as the wife, but Don Aurelio Galante is the "procuratore" of the bride family and the name of the bride is Teresa De Nigris

I am momentarily detaching this source from some of the individuals involved until it gets corrected

Because the image is limited-access, it cannot be user-edited. It may be possible to edit when connected to FamilySearch at a FamilySearch Center or Affiliate Library.

We've never been able to edit an index when we can't see the image. It would be impossible to verify if the error is in the index or possibly in the image.

I can edit it, but I'm not confident in my Italian skills. I'll consult with a colleague.

I can see the image, on https://antenati.cultura.gov.it , and can help as I am Italian mother tongue - and schooled when corsive writing was still a thing! 😊 - if needed

I am also old-school, with cursive knowledge, but Italian is 5th on my list of languages studied.

@Áine.ní.Donnghaile Since this marriage document is from Naples in 1841, it takes a format that I have rarely worked with. Located here on Antenati: https://antenati.cultura.gov.it/ark:/12657/an_ua17973328/LpRWBJ1 I would agree that the bride's name is Teresa de Nigris age 32, apparently born in the Comune San Giuliano, daughter of Carlo Antonio de Nigris and Agnese d'Alena.

But, because this writing is pretty rough in certain places, I would defer to @Cousin Vinny 's interpretation of these two pages.

Yeah, Napoli records tend to be quite verbose especially since they always give everybody's address.

The contents of this marriage promessa:

19 Feb 1841- appearing are Giuseppe Tiberio from Sepino, age 32, attorney, living in Montecalvario, Vico Pellegrini #16, majority age son of Ignazio, age 54, landowner, and of Agata Galante, age 50, both living in Boiano

And Aurelio Galante of Santa Croce in Molise, age 48, landowner, living on Strada Nuova Pizzofalcone #60, son of deceased Giovan Vincenzo and of Rosalba Simeonibus, attorney-in-fact of Teresa de Nigris and acting in her name for purposes of this act; the said de Nigris is from the comune of San Giuliano, age 32, living in this district on Strada Santa Teresa dei Scalzi #83, majority age daughter of Carlo Antonio, age 63, vice-president of the Great Court of Audit, living with her, and of deceased Agnese d'Alena

The marriage was celebrated in the parish of Fonseca (i.e., chiesa della Santissima Annunziata a Fonseca) on 22 Feb 1841.
