Why does a search on the Tree include results from "partner sites"? And what are they?
WHY ?????? When searching on the FamilySearch Tree -
Search > Find
The results now include results from partner trees (MyTrees,com, American Ancestors, Duffy Tree, and a variety of others.)
This is new in the last month or so - don't like it.
HOW can I limit my results to just the FamilySearch Tree????
I know I can click on "collection" and limit to the Family Search Tree, but I would like to not see those other results in the first place.
Anything I can do??

At the last RootsTech, FamilySearch made a big announcement of a paradigm shift - where FS wanted to become the pointer to relevant source materials anywhere - more that just another collection point.
I'm sure I'm butchering the correct and word smithed announcement, but you get the idea.
There are many things to be taken from FS, and things to do on the site. We each have our pet areas and ways to help.
One of the other thoughts brought out that has application here:- Focus on the Saviour - why are we doing genealogy (either in or out of the Church)
- Add what you know - You don't have to do it all, do what you can.

@Gail Verderamo Benson Apparently others agree with you. When I used FIND today, a notice popped up pointing out how to search various collections of compiled trees, including all at once, and stating that searching only FamilyTree is now the default search.
