I have many trees on Ancestry. When I get stuck one of my options seems to be moving the problem tree to familysearch and see if I can get help there.

What sort of help do you need?
FamilySearch provides many primary source Historical Records, which you can search for, and link to from Ancestry trees, without importing anything from your trees into the FS Family Tree.
If you want to make sure the tree individuals are reflected in the single, global, collaborative FamilySearch Family Tree, and you have verifiable sources for the relevant entries, you can do this. But you need to be very careful not to cause duplication, since you may well find that a lot of your people are present already and just need editing to reflect any new information you have. The safest way to do this is via one of the 3rd party products in the FS Solutions Gallery, https://www.familysearch.org/en/innovate/solutions-gallery/, e.g. RootsMagic - these allow you to link to both Ancestry and FS and to add/update entries one by one, adding sources as you go.
If you just want a backup of an Ancestry Tree, you can upload a gedcom to FS as a separate read-only Genealogy.
A new 'User Trees' function is currently under development which will provide a separate editable Tree capability far more like those on Ancestry. Once this is available, you would be able to load one of those from a gedcom.
