Persistent vandalism
Is there anything that can be done about users who do nothing but remove photos and notes without providing any reason?
The problem involves profile LK65-J3Z and the other profiles related to this family. For the past three days, I have been adding the identification photos, and the user Joao3427 removes them almost immediately without offering any explanation.
I tried to discuss the matter with this person in the hope of reaching an understanding, but they stopped responding and now appear to be spending all day repeatedly vandalizing these profiles.

Looking at the profile, it doesn't look like vandalism, just a determined disagreement as to whether a coat of arms belongs to a family or to an individual. You both look quite persistent in that you have attached the shied and the other user has detached it 19 times.
This happens in other places in the tree where two users are using a different set of standards for profiles. You have certainly explained your point of view well in your note. I'm not sure there is much you can do other than return to the profiles and add the Memory back once a month and hope the other user finally decides it's not with the effort to keep removing it. One thought would be be create a document with valuable information about the person, such as your own biography of him which includes information about the shield and the image of the shield, save the document as a PDF, and upload the PDF as a Memory
One thing that might be the issue, which is not evident from the Change Log, is if you are putting the image as a portrait on the profile. Some users have very strong feelings that only a photograph of the person should be added as a portrait and not a house or a gravestone or a flag or some type of generic marker. If this is what you have been doing, you might try just adding the image as a Memory and not making it the profile portrait.

While I understand that some users may object to the use of certain images (I myself have had to remove images used as profile photos), I find it unacceptable for someone to erase every trace of those images without any explanation, and then insult my intelligence for adding them by calling me ignorant.
Another aspect of this issue is that they are also removing or editing notes in order to prevent other users from reading my point of view.

Instead of a "Note" on the "Collaborate" tab, try posting a "Discussion" there. Those cannot be modified or deleted by others.

I know absolutely nothing about Portuguese genealogy so cannot take any stand on the editing war you find yourself in, but FamilySearch does have a code of conduct and repeated violations of it can get people banned from the site.

would appear to be crossing some lines and worth reporting as abuse.
