Source Linker Icons (Gray man & Redman)
What are these two icons that are visible usually at the very bottom, under the heading "Others on record) ? Sometimes after attaching new sources they turn green with a checkmark at the top left corner of that icon, but if the name on that record does not belong to that tree, there is no way to remove it or link it to the correct tree. Is this intentional?

Here's an example of a situation that sounds similar to the one in the original post: 1910 US Census for Hicks Griffin:
You can see Richard J Coryell listed in the "Others on Record" section. The focus person is Hicks Griffin. Richard is a grandson of Hicks; since he's not in the immediate family (not a parent, child, or sibling of Hicks), he is listed in the Others section.
However, since he is indeed attached to a person in Family Tree, the background of his tile is green, and there's a green checkmark in the top left corner, as described in the original post.
The original post from @Bala Subramanian said that "if the name on that record does not belong to that tree, there is no way to remove it or link it to the correct tree." Certainly everyone who is attached is in Family Tree; I think the intended point is that the people in the Others section are not in the immediate household, which makes it a little tricky to discover which profile the person on this record is attached to. But it can be done.
If you happen to know that Richard's mother is Estelle, then you can use the Change Person dropdown on the right side to change the focus to Estelle, then do it again to change the focus to Richard. And if you happen to know Richard's Person ID, you can do that in one step by entering his PID into the ID field for the Change Focus Person dialog.
But even if you don't know any of that, you can still find out which profile in Family Tree is attached to the person Richard on this record.
1. Click the View Record button in the top left corner (directly under the record title: "United States, Census, 1910".
2. In the sidebar that appears, scroll down to Richard J Coryell. Click on that name. That will open the record details for him in a new browser tab.
3. Now that you are viewing the record details for Richard, you can see who it is attached to:

Armed with that information, you can copy his person ID, return to the browser tab that still has the original source linker open, and use Change Person to focus on that PID (you may need to also use Change Person on the left side to pick the correct record person). Or you can go to the Sources list for his profile (by clicking on his name and then choosing "Sources" in the person popup that appears). For the 1910 US Census source, click Review Attachments, and then you can do whatever is appropriate.
5. Whatever you chose to do in step 4, you will now be in the source linker with the record person properly lined up with the tree person profile. If you are certain the record is not attached to the correct person profile, you will then have the option to detach it and then attach it to the correct one (but please don't do that for Richard Coryell in my example — that is certainly correctly attached).
